In respect of World Food Safety Day, the Africa Daily Show crew led by Barry Musah had a chat with Mr Ebenezer Kofi Essel who is a Scientist and the Director of Industrial Support Services Directorate of the Food and Drugs Authority (FDA) in Ghana. It was an exciting and educative conversation covering controversial issues like genetically modified organisms (GMO), food safety and security, vaccine production and assessment collaboration between Ghana and Rwanda, etc. Ultimately, Mr Essel stressed that food safety is not just the FDA’s mandate but also an individual’s personal responsibility.
